Viva Espania

Viva Espania
Coastal village on the border
Today we travelled over the boarder but not the easy way like everybody else, we decided to go over on the old coast road just to add a little spice to the journey… the road was very quiet, I wonder why, possibly the amount of hairpin bends might be the answer.. anyway amazingly just as we crossed the border at what looked like an old check point charley crossing with our passports ready, it was abandoned nobody home the sun came out and the temperature went up a few degrees (or it seemed like that), and then down into Spain and onto the campsite in Roses which is a beautiful coastal town. We stopped at the beach and stretched our legs on the promenade (we’re here in Espania)
Roses Promenade (we finally got a pic together)

Habour at Roses with i think the Pyrenees in the background

Listen to the video Nigel, it sounds familiar, and it certainly is'nt Mont Blanc Andy P

Si has now officialy been told not to sh**t on the harbour promenade

We said it looked like a Gypsy site

Si dreaming again about his next project

On the campsite (the view of an athelete after a run)

Cafe' Life (Jo's favorite pastime)

Early morning van push (stretching for a run)

Finally arrive in Spain (look at the smile) after all the rain

Cadeques
We took a bus ride to Cadaques I think the bus suspension was broken it was swaying about so much it made us both sick on all the hairpin bends.. anyway we made it there to a beautiful whitewashed town on the coast we took a packed lunch and sat in a little snug just off the beach and ate our tucker watched closely by the passing Spaniards in their overcoats while we sat in tee shirts and bare feet well it was about 22ᵒ that counts as a summers day in Manchester. We then headed back to the bus station I made a team purchase of a fishing rod; Jo seemed to think it would be better to spend the 30 odd euros in the fish restaurant’s rather than me trying to catch a fish. We’ll see about that. Back at the bus station we waited for our bus.. no way… the same flip pin bus back noooo, both feeling sick again, back in Roses we had to go for a pizza slice (correct food for car sickness recovery) then back to the camp for early doors, had to be done. Tomorrow off to next gypsy site.. I mean camping site.
